Morning Bloodshed

Little footsteps are heard echoing
In the long and empty hallways.
Late for class once again,
Little Zara scampered along.
The hallway was unnaturally quiet
The silence freaking her a bit.
It was like the calm before the storm.
As she turned she caught sight
Of men in black suits and big guns.
She clamped her mouth and ran,
As fast as she could ,
Away from that horrible man.
Unceasing laughter and noise
Replaced by gunshots.
White hallways painted red.
She hid under a desk in fear.
